Hoff System Productions

I’ve been meaning to write this page for a while but never quite got round to it!

Basically, Hoff System is the name I produce under, be it music for Enziguri or Video podcasts for university coursework! This page is in effect my portfolio and I will continue to update it as and when I find the time!

Enziguri Production

This involves the mixing down, mastering and production of the tracks recorded by Enziguri. Currently, we use a USB mixing desk to record Drums (as MIDI), guitar and bass when we get together to practice. Then at a later date, Jamie turns up on my doorstep and records the vocals, again through the USB mixing desk. All the recording is done using Acid Pro 6 and once I have all the tracks then I, and normally Jamie as well, sit down and try to arrange the tracks to get the sound we’re after……this normally means a shed load of effects and additional tracks to boost up the levels and get a nice full sound.

Video Podcast Coursework

My most recent production effort is in fact still on going! The task is to produce a Video Podcast in a group of 4 people (shout out to Abbas, Theo and Mark!) and the subject we are looking at is the Application of Satellite Remote Sensing to Geology!

To produce the podcast, I am using a piece of software called Camtasia which seems okay for the job though I’m only using it because its free (at least for 28 days!). I will be recording the audio overlay using Acid Pro 6 so that I can add in a load of effects that will hopefully make the final Vodcast look and feel professional! fingers crossed….will update more!!!!
